Vasco Eco Adventure was created to improve our interaction with the beautiful Burren National Park whilst protecting the local environment. Services provided are numerous and should satisfy the demands of the many explorers that visit the region. Vasco Eco Adventure is a community-based venture that centralises and services the many different adventure activities on offer in the region.

Current activities that can be booked with Vasco Eco Adventure include:

Hiking/Hill Walking

Covering the northern part of Clare and over looking Galway Bay and the Atlantic Ocean the Burren National Park is a walker's paradise, with over 130 square kilometres of limestone hills and valleys waiting to be explored.

Vasco Eco Adventure can be your starting point for one of the many trails that traverse the park. Choose from one of our packages and discover the Burren with a guide who will explain the history of the area, identify ancient villages and cave systems hidden in the mountains and the many rare plants that grow in the region.

For those of you wishing to explore the area alone maps are available from Vasco Eco Adventure and advice on weather and necessary equipment should be sought before beginning any hike.

Surfing

The name Fanore comes from the Gaelic "fainne oir" meaning ring of gold. This of course refers to the beautiful blue flag beach that provides surfers with an excellent beach break that is perfect for beginners. Fanore beach is also one of the quieter breaks on the Clare coastline and very rarely attracts a big crowd making it easier to surf in peace while taking in the immense and breathtaking scenery.

Vasco Eco Adventure has teamed up with the local surf school to provide you with a surfing experience you wont forget. Packages are available for all levels and all equipment is provided including hot showers and changing facilities. All surf lessons are done in a fun environment with a big emphasis put on safety.

If you lucky you may even surf with the local dolphin!
